Work is like that.Take orders and finishing up tasks that are assigned to me.
I understand.
Why I say this?
Cause modems are part of the company I working at.
15000 are the amount returned by Singtel cause their firmware is outdated.
So 5000 are already in the warehouse ready for us to do.
Since being an IA student, we will be given tasks that are very random.
I don’t wish to say this.
Some of my colleagues are people whom will climb to the top at the expense of others.
But there is a target of 1000 per day.
2 people will be updating the modems via laptops.
So one person will be assigned to unpack a carton of 10 modems.
Then, the person will update. Finally repacking occurs.
Adlynna is my friend whom I met during my FYP period and
she is assigned to be the re-packer.
She repacks the ready modems into boxes and packs them up.
Then recently, we both are IA students so we leave at 6.15 but the other colleagues stay till 9 plus. So modems will just be put on shelves waiting for adlynna the next morning to come do her repacking.
When I came to work, I saw stacks of modems rushing to be repacked.
One of the older colleagues who should be updating the modems kept opening cartons and cartons. Cause there is no more left for them to do.
The tables used for repacking are full to the max. But he came and wanted to put more empty boxes elsewhere.
I told him to wait for us to clear but he just threw a tantrum.
He shouted at my other colleague, not adlynna.
Adlynna is a girl and she can’t do it herself.
She fell ill while unpacking, a serious headache.
No one was helping in repacking.
I was scared she would faint.
Another girl just helped out the next day cause she is new.
I stopped unpacking to help them.
BUT GOT SOME PEOPLE JUST DON’T CARE!The older colleague(middle-aged man) said that the target can’t be reached if we stopped
but seriously must you see a fellow colleague faint or fall sick
then u can really see that
we are HUMAN not robots.
I understand u need to complete but going faster is a bit too much.
Moreover, a boss sets the target.
If you can’t reach then don’t rush and force it upon others.
